Eligibility:

Internship Candidates must be currently enrolled in an accredited university or college that requires an internship with a law enforcement agency to meet academic requirements for graduation.

Internship must be recommended by the Dean of your school, Department Head or Intern Program Coordinator.

Applicants must successful complete a background investigation.

Return the application by mail or in person at the Wake County Law Enforcement Training Center.  Please include a letter of recommendation that you are in good standing at your university, the  number of hours needed and the dates they must be completed by.

Perspective Interns will be contacted by phone or mail and a follow up appointment will be scheduled to discuss other pertinent information that will include:

          -Work Schedule and Assignments

          -WCSO identification and parking pass

          -Appropriate dress code

          -WCSO Internship Rules and Regulations

Submission Dates:
Fall
- Submission due by June 1st and the response deadline is July 1st.
Spring - Submission due by October 1st and the response deadline is November 1st.
Summer - Submission due by March 15th and the response deadline is April 1st.
